PETA has released a flash game titled Pokemon Black and Blue which gives players the task of helping to free Pikachu and his fellow Pokemon from their abusive trainers. Oddly enough, this game shows the idea of trainer abuse much more explicitly than I remember seeing in any of the official Pokemon titles? if they even had something like that to begin with.
You can head over to PETA? website if you want to make Pikachu fight his trainer with ThunderShock as you get Disciplined with a baseball bat.
